I have different methods available based on the condition of the blade. Most of the time, I use 4 different Tormek T-8 with CBN Wheels with grits of 160, 400, 1000 and Japanese Wheel of 4000, + deburring wheels of Composite and Leather with compounds. To that I also have access to Variable Speed buffer using the Tormek system with Paper Wheels with Diamond compounds and Felt wheels as whell. In addition to this, I have two 2x72 grinders with all the belts needed that I also use to produce knives if major work needs to be done, and the full set of Naniwa Japanese traditional professsional whetstones of all grits up to 12,000 for specific needs like straight razors and polishing an edge of a japanese knife that a customer would not be satisfied with the 4,000 grit of Tormek.
